Confidence & Comfort for You
A simple trim removes the entire outer edge of the labia, often leaving a straight, linear border that can look visibly operated on.
The wedge technique removes a small V-shaped portion of tissue from the central labia instead.
This means:
The result? A refined reduction that still looks completely natural — even to a trained eye.
Trimming the delicate outer edge can weaken the border of the labia over time. In contrast, the wedge technique preserves that edge, which is the strongest and most structurally supportive part of the labia.
This leads to:
Clients choosing a wedge notice their results aging far more gracefully.
The trim method can disturb highly sensitive nerve endings along the labial edge.
The wedge technique avoids this by:
It’s a more respectful, anatomical approach to intimate surgery.
Trim incisions run along the entire outer edge — meaning a long, visible scar right where the eye naturally goes.
Wedge incisions are hidden within the natural folds of the labia, making the scar:
For patients, this is a major confidence-boosting advantage.
Because the wedge removes central tissue, your surgeon can fine-tune the shape with much more precision. This makes it ideal for:
Trim techniques can sometimes leave edges uneven or overly thin. The wedge avoids that.
Dr Karima Medjoub, who specialises in intimate procedures, overwhelmingly prefers the wedge because:
For women wanting results that feel like themselves — just improved — the wedge is the modern gold standard.

I’d been self-conscious for years, especially when exercising. The clinic made everything simple and private. Healing was smooth and I couldn’t be happier with the outcome.

Labiaplasty is a surgical procedure that reduces or reshapes the labia minora to improve comfort, symmetry and confidence. It’s commonly chosen by women who experience rubbing or irritation during exercise, discomfort in tight clothing, or feel self-conscious about the appearance of the area.
Most patients feel comfortable to return to light daily activities after 5–7 days. Swelling reduces significantly within the first 2 weeks, with full healing typically achieved between 4–6 weeks. Final cosmetic results settle over 8–12 weeks as the tissues soften and mature.
Scarring is minimal. The incisions are placed along the natural borders of the labia minora, so once healed, the scars blend into the natural folds of the tissue. Over time, they become very difficult to notice.
Most patients describe the discomfort as mild to moderate in the first few days. Pain is usually well-controlled with standard oral painkillers and rest. Using a peri-bottle or warm water while urinating can also reduce stinging during early healing.
Light walking is recommended early, but strenuous exercise, swimming, cycling, and sexual activity should be avoided for 4–6 weeks to allow the tissue to heal properly. Your surgeon will confirm when it’s safe based on your progress at your follow-up appointments.
