Before you leave the hospital
Prior to leaving the clinic, our team will provide detailed guidance on wound care and any medications you may need to use. A review appointment will be scheduled within 5–10 days to assess healing and remove stitches where necessary.
Wound Care
If dressings have been applied, you will be advised whether they are shower-proof. In some cases, wounds are left uncovered and an antibiotic ointment may be prescribed for application two to three times daily. Where no dressing is required, you may shower or bathe as normal to help keep the area clean.
